Detached house in in a densly wooded landscape
In the middle of the Sauerland lies the small town of Brilon. Besides a densly wooded landscape, the small town is characterised by meadows and fields. So it is only natural that the residents always keep efficiency and thus environmental considerations in mind when building their houses. Like the Meier family who use state-of-the-art heating technology in their new building.
The two-storey house built in 2015 has 160 m² of living space. With its modern architecture and 780 m² plot of land, the building blends perfectly with its surroundings. The couple chose a solid construction with vertically perforated bricks that meets the KfW standard according to the German Energy Saving Ordinance EnEV 2014. Right at the beginning of their project, they determined that the heating system should have a special and, above all, future-proof quality. In order to achieve this, the client relied on products from Oventrop.
Surface heating and cooling as the first choice
Comfortable and pleasant temperatures should not be lacking inside the building throughout the year. Therefore, the choice fell on a surface heating and cooling system instead of a radiator variant. In combination with the reversible air/water heat pump, pleasant room temperatures can thus be achieved even in high summer. For this reason, 70 mm thick insulation was first laid on the unfinished floor by the customer. Then the Cofloor system insulation was used as tacker variant. It is provided with a laminated tissue foil on which a laying grid (grid spacing 5 cm) is printed for better orientation. The Copipe HS was used as heating pipe. The multi-layer composite pipe consists of three layers - PE-X, aluminium, PE-X. This makes the system suitable for all areas of application and offers numerous advantages: It is diffusion-tight, corrosion-resistant and very convenient to lay with the tacker system due to its dimensional stability.
To supply the heating circuit, the Regumat M3 product assembly was installed as a link between the buffer storage cylinder and the heat transfer. It consists of a shutoff device with two ball valves, two thermometers, a three-way mixing valve with actuator and a high-efficiency pump. This prevents temperature fluctuations with changing volume flows. To ensure a longer runtime for the heat pump, the plumbers also used a Hydrocor HP type 1000 buffer storage cylinder. The steel heating water storage cylinder is suitable for connecting various heat generators. In this way, it was also possible to integrate the solar system, consisting of 5 horizontally mounted flat-plate collectors of the type OKF-MQ25, directly into the heating system via the Regusol X-Duo product assembly with heat exchanger. Furthermore, nothings stands in the way for a future expansion of the system, for example by adding a stove with a water pocket.
Hot water in continuous flow
A storage cylinder for hot water provision was out of the question for the young couple for hygienic reasons. Therefore, they decided on a Regumaq fresh water station which ensures a hygienically perfect hot potable water preparation using the continuous flow principle. This counteracts the legionella problem. The Regumaq XZ-30 fresh water station is equipped with a circulation pump and thus always ensures hot, hygienic water at the draw-off points.
