The most important and largest airport in Slovakia is in Bratislava. It was built between 1947 and 1951 and has been expanded over the years. In December 2008, the construction of a new terminal began. A total of 96 million euros was invested. This makes the building one of the largest infrastructure investments in Slovakia. The wing was opened in 2012. 5 million passangers a year are handled in the new terminal and start their journey to destinations all over the world. Various products from Oventrop ensure comfortable temperatures inside.

Everything regulated with HydroControl and Hydromat

In addition to the latest building technology, a new heating system is being used. To ensure that it functions properly and can be hydraulically balanced, double regulating and commissioning valves of the HydroControl VFC series in nominal sizes DN 20 to DN 200 were installed. They ensure that the individual risers are hydraulically balanced among each other and are supplied with the calculated volume flow. The values for each individual riser are centrally pre-adjusted and precisely set. Thus, the building is optimally equipped for efficient operation.

Differential pressure regulators of the Hydromat DTR family are also used. These are proportional regulators working without auxiliary energy.
They keep the differential pressure in the controlled section constant within a proportional band required for control purposes. The regulators were installed in the dimemsions DN 32 to DN 100. Special advantage: The nominal value of the Oventrop differential pressure regulator can be infinitely adjusted. Thus, the calculated values can be transferred to the system without major deviations.

Optimum temperatures in the terminal

Cocon QTZ pressure independent control valves provide the necessary regulation at the consumer. All valves are equipped with electronic actuators. This ensures that the correct room temperature is always maintained. Visitors feel comfortable and are happy to to start their next journey again at Letisko Milana Rastislava Štefánika Airport.
