Room thermostats and controllers

ClimaCon F Room thermostats for surface heating

Room thermostats are used in conjunction with actuators for individual room temperature control in heating systems. The temperature is set at the room thermostat. The ClimaCon F room thermostats are used for temperature control of surface heating and cooling systems as well as heating and cooling ceilings.
Depending on the room thermostat, switching between heating and cooling is possible via a change-over signal, e.g. from the heat pump. Depending on the model, there are room thermostats with reduced display, with integrated time switch and setting options via app.

Room thermostats heating

Room thermostats are used in conjunction with actuators for individual room temperature control in heating systems. The temperature is set at the room thermostat. Depending on the room thermostat used, the temperature is reduced via an adjustable time programme or an external time switch.
Room thermostats can also be used for cooling applications by using a different actuator (e.g. “normally closed” instead of “normally open”).

Oventrop offers room thermostats for surface- or flush-mounted installation, with or without display.

Room thermostats heating/cooling

Room thermostats are used in conjunction with electromotive or electrothermal actuators for individual room temperature control in heating and cooling systems. This room thermostat can also be used in three or four pipe systems and has an adjustable neutral zone between heating and cooling stage. The temperature is set at the room thermostat.

Connecting blocks

The connecting block is used for wiring individual room controls and is used for surface heating and cooling control. With the connecting block, a simple assignment of the individual rooms or heating circuits can be carried out centrally. Depending on the variant, up to 10 zones for heating and cooling systems with up to 18 actuators and 10 room thermostats can be connected to the connecting block. In addition, further components, such as a pump, a change-over signal transmitter, a temperature limiter or dew point sensor can be wired.

Actuators

Electrothermal and electromotive actuators are used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The actuators can be used for room temperature control or as zone valves.
Oventrop offers actuators in the variants “normally closed” and “normally open”.
All electrothermal actuators are protected against overvoltage, a varistor is not required.

Oventrop offers electromotive actuators with and without communication interfaces.

R-Tronic Wireless thermostats

Oventrop offers wireless thermostats with two types of radio communication:
The R-Tronic wireless thermostats with open radio communication according to EnOcean standard can be integrated directly into Smart Home systems.
The R-Tronic wireless thermostats with closed radio communication ( proprietary) are used in stand-alone operation in connection with wireless actuators to control radiators or in connection with a multi-channel wireless receiver to control surface heating systems.

The temperature setting as well as the storage of time programmes is carried out at the wireless thermostat or in the app of the Smart Home System. Depending on the model, an additional measurement of the relative humidity in % and the CO2 concentration in ppm is possible.
Power is supplied by batteries or a power pack (100 - 240 V). For the battery-operated models, power supply via the mains is possible as an alternative (see chapter “R-Tronic Accessories”).

For the closed R-Tronic system, the following applies: In battery operation, up to 3 participants can be taught in, in mains operation, up to 8 participants can be taught in. In mains operation it is also possible to teach in wireless actuators, window contacts and a single-channel wireless receiver. The single-channel wireless receiver enables the control of a fan depending on the set CO2 threshold value. For this application a thermostat must be used which can measure the CO2 concentration.

R-Con Wireless receivers

The R-Con wireless receivers are used in combination with the R-Tronic wireless thermostats for room temperature control of surface heating systems. The electronic multi-channel wireless receivers can control up to 8 independent heating zones according to adjustable time profiles. The time profiles are set via the connected wireless thermostat.
Additional functions can be set directly at the wireless receiver, e.g. pump logic with adjustable lead time and follow-up time, burner logic for heat demand and a PWM control for surface heating. Electrothermal actuators with 24 V or 230 V can be connected to the channels of the receiver.
